What to Expect From a Remote Electrodermal Screening (EDS) Session

This is the walkthrough: what actually happens from the moment you book to the moment you have your protocol in hand. Not what biofeedback is, but what it is like to do it. If you are still deciding whether this is the right approach for you, start with how remote biofeedback testing works instead. This page is for the part after that.

I'm Kyla Phillips, a registered nurse with over 20 years of experience, and I've done biofeedback testing with clients since 2016. Most people who book have a version of the same story: their labs came back normal, they still don't feel like themselves, and they're done guessing. Here is exactly what the process looks like from there.

It starts with the sample, not the appointment

This runs in a different order than most people expect. You don't book a time first. You purchase your session, then you collect and mail your sample. Once it arrives, we text you to choose your appointment time.

That order exists for a reason. Your analysis has to be finished before we meet, so the sample has to be here first. The practical version: the sooner you mail it, the sooner you're on the calendar.

Collecting it is simple, and there's no kit to wait for. You wait fifteen minutes after eating or drinking, swab the inside of your mouth with a few cotton swabs you already have at home, seal them in a labeled bag, and mail it. The full step by step for collecting and sending it is here.

You'll also have an intake form to complete. It asks about your top concerns, what you've already tried, how you're sleeping and eating, and what you're currently taking. Fill it in properly. What you write there is the context I read your results against, and a good intake makes the session sharper.

While you're waiting

Nothing to do. Live your normal life. Don't change your supplements, don't start anything new, and don't clean up your diet in advance to get a better result. Your body reads as it is, and a snapshot of your actual life is more useful to me than a polished version of it.

On my end, this is when the work happens. Your sample arrives, I run your full analysis, and I go through it before we ever speak. You'll usually see a preview of your results appear in your client portal ahead of the appointment.

Your session

We meet over Zoom. Because your analysis is already done, none of our time gets spent on the testing itself. You aren't watching me operate equipment. The whole appointment is your results and your questions.

We go through what came up, which organ, gland or system is asking for support, what the priority is, and why your body put things in that order. This is the part people tell me is different from what they expected. It's a conversation about your body, not a report being read to you.

Bring your questions. Bring the thing you didn't put on the intake form. If something in the results doesn't match your experience, say so, because that gap is often the most useful thing in the session.

After your session

You leave with a protocol built for what your body is showing now: what to take, how much, when, and in what order. It comes with clear instructions, and the schedule is laid out so you're not reverse engineering it at your kitchen counter.

Some people notice shifts in the first week or two. Some feel a little worse before better while things start moving, which is normal and which I'll have told you about if it applies to you. Your notes and your schedule live in your client portal, so you're not relying on memory or a piece of paper.

When it's time to check back in, you mail a fresh sample and we do it again. What your body is asking for changes as things resolve, which is why testing is always current rather than something you do once.
